FURNISHING OF MISCELLANEOUS ELECTRICAL REPAIRS

The contract is for the furnishing of miscellaneous electrical repairs required by various Middlesex County agencies. The contract was awarded to Sal Electric Co., Inc. as the primary vendor and Vanore Electric, Inc. as the secondary vendor. The contract has a term of 12 months with an option to extend for a second year. The total amount of the contract is not to exceed $185,000.00. The vendors have agreed to extend their prices to members of the Middlesex County Cooperative Contract Purchasing System. • The contract includes labor rates for different types of workers, including journeyman, assistant general foreman, cable splitter foreman, general foreman, and apprentice. • The contract also includes mark-up percentages for repair parts and labor rates for repair services after regular business hours and on weekends and holidays. • The vendors have not offered a prompt payment discount. • The contract is subject to the receipt and approval of Affirmative Action documents by the Office of County Counsel.
