Storm Water Detention Basin Maintenance

The City of Independence, Missouri is seeking a vendor to provide maintenance for the City's storm water detention basins. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing equipment, labor, material, supervision, and all else necessary to maintain the basins. The contract includes the development of a management plan for each basin, consisting of inspections, existing condition assessment, and recommendations for improvement and maintenance. The vendor must demonstrate their ability and expertise to perform the necessary maintenance on these facilities. Key aspects of the contract include: • Development of a management plan for each basin • Implementation procedures for the management plan • Unit costs for the above items and any additional work that may be identified • Maintenance of the storm water detention basins to ensure they continue to function as a flood control best management practice.
