JURISDICTIONAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS ASSESSMENT AND BTR FEES’ COLLECTION PROGRAM

The City of Port St. Lucie has entered into a contract with Recruitment and Engineering Products & Services, Inc. (REPS) for a Jurisdictional Business Operations Assessment and BTR Fees' Collection Program. The program aims to assess business operations within the City and provide recommendations for improving business tax collection practices. The contract includes provisions for public records, indemnification, and insurance. The City will pay REPS a revenue-based compensation of 25% of all revenue generated and collected from persons obtaining their City BTR for the first time in two years. The contract has a term of one year, with an option for two one-year renewals. • The contract includes a detailed scope of work, including the assessment of business operations and the provision of recommendations for improving business tax collection practices. • The City will provide REPS with access to public records and information necessary to perform the services. • REPS will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and providing the City with regular updates on their progress. • The contract includes provisions for termination, including termination for cause and termination for convenience. • The City and REPS will work together to develop a summary document explaining the process and results of the program.
