Description
The Sigourney Water Line Replacement project includes the demolition of concrete inside and outside of a building and the installation of a new 4-inch water service line, valves, and appurtenances. The project is estimated to start on June 16, 2025, and be completed by November 11, 2025. The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for this project, and the contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose submission is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, considering cost and other factors.
• The project includes site work, such as grading and paving.
• The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed according to the approved design and under the direct supervision of the Iowa DOT.
• The Iowa DOT will provide a list of items requiring inspection prior to or during installation.
• The contractor must give the Iowa DOT at least 24 hours' notice before installation.
• Payments will be made monthly by means of state warrants to the extent of 95% of the value of work performed.
• A pre-bid meeting was held on May 13, 2025, to discuss the project and answer questions from prospective bidders.
• The bid opening was held on May 28, 2025, and the contract was awarded to the successful bidder.
