WATER METER REPLACEMENT AND AUTOMATED METER READING (AMR) DEPLOYMENT PHASE IV

This solicitation invites qualified firms to submit qualifications and proposals for the replacement of water meters and the installation of automated meter reading (AMR) interface units across the Metropolitan District’s service area. The work includes removal of existing meters, placement of new meters, deployment of meter interface units, and integration with the district’s AMR system. Funding is expected to be partially sourced from the State of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and/or the Department of Public Health, and the procurement is subject to state regulations. • Scope: Replace water meters and install AMR interface units for 8 member towns and portions of 4 additional towns. • Funding: Partial state funding; compliance with CT regulations §§22a‑482‑4 (h, j, o). • Process: Open competition with a pre‑proposal conference (Jan 13 2016) and a formal question deadline (Jan 22 2016).
