Household Hazardous Waste Facility Operator

The County of Fresno is seeking a vendor to operate its Household Hazardous Waste Facility. The vendor will be responsible for implementing various HHW-related programs, providing staffing, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring proper disposal of collected materials. The contract is for a period of three years with the option of two additional one-year term extensions. The vendor will also be required to provide written recommendations, quarterly calls, and status reports to the County. • The vendor will be responsible for operating the HHW facility and providing services such as drop-off programs, pickup services, and education and outreach. • The vendor will be required to maintain a library of procedural, regulatory, permit, and policy manuals. • The vendor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and county reporting protocols. • The vendor will be required to provide sufficient hours of operation and include 2-3 full-time hazardous waste specialists. • The vendor will be responsible for assisting the County with ongoing assessment of the HHW facility and providing written recommendations, quarterly calls, and status reports.
