Request for Qualifications - On-call Plan Check Review Services for the Cordova Arena Project

The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking a qualified firm to provide on-call plan check review services for the Cordova Arena Project. The selected firm will work under the direction of the Chief Building Official and will serve as an extension of the Building Department staff. The scope of work includes providing comprehensive plan review services, conducting meetings and coordination with City staff and development partners, and maintaining electronic records of plan reviews and related correspondence. The City is looking for a firm that can provide high-quality, timely plan review services and collaborate seamlessly with City staff and development partners. • The project consists of an approximately 200,000 square foot 7,500 seat multi-use covered arena. • The project has a building valuation of $68 million dollars. • The City is seeking a firm that can provide expedited plan review services, with a target turnaround time of 48 hours. • The firm will be required to participate in pre-submittal meetings and ongoing coordination meetings with City staff and development partners. • The firm will be required to provide regular plan review status updates and maintain electronic records of plan reviews and related correspondence.
