ITB 2025/26-04 Weed Shredding and Vegetation Management

The County of Curry, New Mexico, is seeking bids for weed shredding and vegetation management services. The primary goal is to reduce fuel loads, enhance fire safety, and maintain clear rights-of-way, intersections, slopes, and public-access areas. The services will be performed on chip-sealed and paved roads only, with a minimum of two complete cuts per year. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, permits, insurance, and transportation needed for the scope of work. • Mechanical shredding and mowing of weeds, brush, and woody vegetation • Manual removal or hand labor in difficult or sensitive locations • Scheduling coordination and pre-work and post-work site inspection with Road staff • Bids are to be based on a lane mile, with each shredder pass being no less than fifteen feet per side of the road • The contract term is anticipated to be two years, with the option for renewal for an additional two years
