Data Center Co-Location

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking a 3rd party data center to host its servers as a backup/failover location. The selected contractor will provide co-location services, including storage, connectivity, and facilities, to support RTA's data center operations. The contract will be for a term of three years, with an option to extend. The contractor will be responsible for providing a secure and reliable environment for RTA's data center equipment, including power redundancy, internet connectivity, and security measures. Some key requirements include: • Location within 30 miles of downtown Dayton, OH • Full power redundancy with multiple power sources • Multiple internet carriers for service capacity and failover needs • Raised floor space for equipment locations • HIPAA and PCI compliance • Available services, such as VMWare-based hosted servers, scalable storage, and network and firewalls The contractor will also be responsible for acquiring and installing additional hardware to support RTA's data center operations, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
