Description

The NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) requires the procurement of an expert system multiwavelength Pyrometer to support high-temperature materials research and testing. This system is intended as a direct, drop-in replacement for existing SpectroPyrometer units currently utilized at NASA GRC. The key characteristics of the system include: * Expert system multi-wavelength pyrometer with on-line tolerance and signal strength (emissivity), spectral and total emissivity correction, absorption (offgas) compensation, and integrated laser for aiming * Resolution is 0.1℃, with measurement options of continuous or on operator demand * Analog temperature output is 0 – 10 VDC, with results printed to screen and to log in non-volatile memory * Raw data can be saved to non-volatile memory for later analysis if required * Unit includes integrated Windows PC, with data analysis for first 30 days after purchase included The place of performance is NASA Glenn Research Center, and the period of performance is 20-26 weeks ARO.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, considering the specialized nature of the equipment and the fact that it is a sole source contract. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the system, the cost of the integrated Windows PC, and the cost of data analysis for the first 30 days after purchase. Additionally, the cost of any additional components, such as the fixed-focus lens assembly or the fiberoptic cable, may also impact the overall budget.
