RFP for As-Needed Real Property Environmental Services

The City of Long Beach is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional real property environmental services, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental remediation, and other related services. The contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The selected firms will be required to provide a range of services, including environmental analysis, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and environmental remediation. The City is looking for firms with experience working with public sector clients and the ability to provide high-quality services in a timely and cost-effective manner. Some key services that will be required include: • Prepare and process negative declarations, mitigated negative declarations, and/or environmental impact reports (EIRs) • Evaluate how proposed projects affect air, water, soil, biodiversity, and communities • Ensure operations meet federal, state, and local environmental laws • Provide other related technical services and prepare technical reports • Assist with land use planning, zoning, and environmental permits • Prepare documentation for NEPA, CEQA, and other frameworks • Assist with coordination with various agencies, including the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB)
