Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a total solution system to manage instrument data, quality control, linearity, operators, certifications, and devices, and to support device configuration and related functions at the point of care. The system should facilitate seamless integration and data transfer between point-of-care laboratory equipment and the hospital information system. The VA is looking for a vendor who can provide a Remote Automated Laboratory System (RALS) that meets the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work. The contractor shall provide middleware support for Lab Information System (LIS) interface, transmit laboratory results and other data, and provide software and data management system capable of managing remote test results. The contract has a base year and four option years, with a period of performance from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2031.
Key requirements include:
• Providing middleware support for LIS interface for various instruments
• Transmitting laboratory results and other data between connected diagnostic instruments and LIS
• Providing software and data management system capable of managing remote test results
• Ensuring system availability 24 hours per day, 7 days a week
• Providing qualified technicians or IT staff to perform services and upgrades
