NOI for Laser Scanning Microscope (LSM) 880 Airyscan Confocal Microscope

The National Institute of Health (NIH) is seeking to award a single-source contract for the maintenance of a Laser Scanning Microscope (LSM) 880 Airyscan Confocal Microscope. The contract will be for a period of 12 months after award and will require the contractor to provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) preventative maintenance and repair services to ensure the microscope is maintained at its achievable specification limits at all times. The microscope is used by researchers in the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) Intramural Research Program (IRP) for high temporal and spatial resolution imaging of fluorescent samples. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing OEM preventative maintenance services • Repairing and restoring the microscope to its original operating capabilities with limited downtime in the event of a malfunction or component failure • Ensuring the microscope is maintained at its achievable specification limits at all times • Working with researchers in the NIDCR IRP to ensure the microscope is functioning properly and meeting their needs.
