Description
The City of Henderson, Kentucky is seeking competitive sealed bids for the repair of the Fire Department's Burn Room. The successful bidder will be responsible for removing the existing ceiling, inspecting and potentially replacing insulation, and installing a new ceiling made of 3/16" flat steel sheets. The new ceiling will be reinforced with 1/4" thick, 2" x 2" tubing welded to the ceiling panels in a specific grid pattern. The bidder must ensure that all work is performed in a professional, timely, and workmanlike manner, and that all equipment and materials are suitable for the intended use and maintained in safe working condition.
• The Burn Room is located at the Henderson Fire Department Training Grounds, 1131 5th Street, Henderson, KY 42420.
• The existing ceiling will be removed and left on site for future use.
• The insulation will be inspected, and if necessary, replaced before the new ceiling is installed.
• The new ceiling will be made of 3/16" flat steel sheets, reinforced with 1/4" thick, 2" x 2" tubing.
• All welds must be structurally sound and made by a certified welder.
• The bidder must ensure that all exposed material is ground smooth for appearance and safety.
