The U.S. Army Medical Research of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) are seeking a contractor to assess host-targeted nanobody therapeutics using in vitro porcine blood-brain barrier (BBB) models. The contractor will be required to refine in vitro BBB models, establish baseline transmigration efficiencies for non-targeted nanobody therapies, assess transmigration efficiencies for BBB-targeted nanobody therapies, and establish a BBB model of non-human primate (NHP) origin. The contractor will also be required to provide subject-matter expertise on in vitro BBB models and advise on optimal targets for BBB targeting nanobody therapeutics.
Some key tasks include:
• Refining in vitro BBB models for the assessment of nanobody therapeutic transmigration
• Establishing baseline transmigration efficiencies for non-targeted nanobody therapies
• Assessing transmigration efficiencies for BBB-targeted nanobody therapies
• Establishing a BBB model of NHP origin
• Providing subject-matter expertise on in vitro BBB models and advising on optimal targets for BBB targeting nanobody therapeutics
