Network & Cabling Equipment Installation Services

South Texas College is seeking competitive proposals for network cabling projects throughout the College district. The successful respondent will provide cabling installation services, including but not limited to Copper and Fiber backbone/riser system, horizontal data and voice cabling, mounting equipment, cable pathway and management systems, testing and other items/materials. The contractor must be an Ortronics Certified Contractor at the program’s CIP level, factory trained, and authorized to provide the Owner’s vendor of choice SCS nCompass Limited Lifetime Warranty covering all network cable and connectivity hardware products comprising this RFP. Some key points to consider: • The College intends to award a contract to the successful respondent(s) for a one-year term, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. • The contractor will be required to perform all services as requested by the College, with each cabling order being for a minimum of one data drop. • The contractor must maintain a factory-trained and certified staff for the Ortronics CIP program covering the duration of the contract. • The contractor must provide a set of professional legible drawings detailing cable plant records, location of frames, and cable assignment.
