Description
The City of San Mateo is seeking a qualified system integrator firm to provide on-call programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) programming and commissioning support services for the process control system (PCS) supporting upgrade and rehabilitation projects included in the City’s capital improvement projects, and ongoing maintenance and improvements of the City’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The selected firm will provide services in two work categories: capital improvement projects and ongoing maintenance and improvements. The contract will be for a three-year term, with an option to extend for up to two one-year term extensions, for a maximum total contract term of five years.
Some of the key responsibilities of the selected firm will include:
• Engagement in the detailed design phase
• Preparation of management plans
• Submittal reviews
• Training
• Performing programming, start up, and commissioning services as directed by their respective Project Manager
• Troubleshooting
• System modifications
• Programming updates
• Alarm programming
• Testing
• Startup
• Commissioning
• Documentation
• Emergency response
• Related integration services necessary to maintain reliable operation and improve system functionality.
The City is looking for a firm with experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA system integration services, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services on time and within budget.
