The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) is soliciting qualified firms to manage and operate a suite of transit services in the city’s South Region. The scope includes the South Region Commuter Express fixed‑route bus service, Community DASH neighborhood circulator routes, the Cityride Dial‑a‑Ride paratransit program, and the LAnow on‑demand microtransit service. Contractors will be responsible for all aspects of service delivery: vehicle operations, driver staffing, maintenance facility management, fare collection, compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements, performance monitoring, reporting, and adherence to safety, ADA, and labor standards. The contract will also require the contractor to maintain or refurbish fleet vehicles, provide technology platforms (scheduling, dispatch, mobile apps), and implement staff retention and incentive programs. The award will be based on technical and cost proposals, with a total budget of approximately $250 million.
