Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Engine - Aerial Apparatus

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking a proposal for a four-door custom, minimum 100’ heavy-duty aerial ladder apparatus for the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire. The apparatus will be used by Truck Company crews delivering service to the City of Pittsburgh. The proposal should include a detailed description of the apparatus, construction and performance details, and a list of equipment to be supplied. The contractor must have an established reputation in the field of fire apparatus construction and have been in continuous business for a minimum of thirty years. The proposal should also include a delivery estimate, a description of the facility, and a list of technicians employed. • The apparatus must meet the requirements of NFPA 1900 and have a minimum 100’ heavy-duty aerial ladder. • The contractor must have an established reputation in the field of fire apparatus construction. • The proposal must include a detailed description of the apparatus, construction and performance details, and a list of equipment to be supplied. • The contractor must have a factory service facility or a contracted service facility for warranty and collision repair of apparatus. • The proposal must include a delivery estimate and a description of the facility.
