Emergency Procurement for Interim Facility Administrator at Whitten Center

The Department of Disabilities and Special Needs is seeking an Interim Facility Administrator for Whitten Center, a licensed Intermediate Care Facility located in Clinton, South Carolina. The contract will last a maximum of six months and includes the time necessary for the contractor to help train a new permanent Facility Administrator hired through the normal process. The Interim Facility Administrator will be responsible for program management, fiscal management, and supervision/leadership of facility administrative personnel. Responsibilities include assurance of continuous active treatment, promotion of positive health outcomes, continuous staff development and training for all personnel, and regular engagement with those served and their families to ensure satisfaction of services and share opportunities for community integration. • The Interim Facility Administrator must be a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) or licensed nursing home administrator. • The contract amount is $189,000. • The emergency procurement is due to the difficulty in hiring an experienced Facility Administrator in the short term, which creates an immediate threat to the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served in this setting.
