Description
The Town of Herndon is seeking bids for the publication of all legal advertisements and notices. The contract will be for one year with four optional renewals. The successful bidder will be required to publish notices in a newspaper that meets certain criteria, including having a bona fide list of paying subscribers, being published and circulated in printed form at least once a week for at least 50 of the preceding 52 weeks, providing general news coverage of the area, being printed in the English language, and having a periodicals mailing permit issued by the United States Postal Service.
Some key responsibilities of the contractor include:
• Displaying the Town of Herndon logo on all advertisements
• Providing proof sheets within 24 hours of posting legal ads
• Providing a price sheet confirming legal ad prices
• Delivering newspapers to designated locations
• Notifying the Town at least three weeks in advance if the contractor anticipates closing or discontinuing operation
