Lab Equipment Maintenance and Calibration Services - Revised November 4, 2025

The County of San Mateo is seeking a contractor to provide lab equipment maintenance and calibration services for a period of three years with an option to extend for up to two additional years. The services include maintaining laboratory biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, and pipette calibration. The contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The key responsibilities of the contractor include testing, certifying, and maintaining lab biosafety cabinets, performing testing and maintenance of laboratory fume hoods, and providing on-site preventive maintenance and calibration for pipettes. • The contractor must respond to service requests within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. • The contractor must provide training to laboratory staff on the safe operation and proper usage of the fume hoods. • The contractor must provide detailed service reports, including test results and compliance certifications, after each service. • The contractor must maintain regular reporting and tracking of each pipette's calibration history. • The contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
