Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source contract to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Informatics, Inc. for the provision of Remote Automated Laboratory Systems (RALS) software for the El Paso VA Health Care System. The RALS software will connect various analyzers to a data manager, enabling the review and release of patient results to the Laboratory Information System (LIS) directly from each analyzer. The contractor will provide software licensing, installation, and configuration, as well as training and support. The contract will be for a base period with four option years. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing RALS software and interface for Point of Care Testing connectivity
• Installing and configuring software to work with the current LIS
• Providing standard training and consultation for the use of System Software Technology
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations
• Providing 24/7 technical support and preventative maintenance
