Description
The Lawton Indian Hospital is seeking a contractor to provide laundry services, including pick-up and delivery of soiled and clean laundry. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform the work. The contract will be for a base year with four 12-month option years. The contractor must comply with various standards and regulations, including those related to infection control and quality assurance. Some key requirements include:
* Providing clean laundry items, including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and patient gowns
* Picking up soiled laundry and delivering clean laundry to the hospital
* Ensuring that all finished laundry is clean, dry, folded, and pressed in accordance with industry standards
* Replacing broken or missing buttons, zippers, or snaps, and mending torn items
* Packaging and labeling finished laundry to prevent contamination during transportation and delivery
* Providing a delivery ticket with all deliveries
* Maintaining accurate records of laundry weights and deliveries
* Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, including those related to healthcare laundry and facilities.
