Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Manage Incorporated for IBM Power9 hardware and software support services supporting the Blood Bank Control System (BBCS)/ABO application. The contract will have a twelve-month base period, and the anticipated period of performance is from July 31, 2026, to July 30, 2027. The BBCS/ABO application is used by the Department of Transfusion Medicine to support blood collection, donor recruitment, testing, transfusion activities, and the creation of specialized blood products. Manage Incorporated has supported the BBCS/ABO environment since 2006 and provides specialized support for the IBM Power9 servers, SAN storage, PowerHA failover capability, and nightly system backups.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing IBM Power9 hardware and software support services
• Supporting the BBCS/ABO application
• Maintaining and supporting the BBCS/ABO Suites server/application
• Providing PowerHA failover capability to the Culpeper, Virginia disaster recovery site
• Performing nightly system backups
