The Lancaster County School District intends to enter into a sole source contract with Melmark, a specialized public school in Charlotte, NC, to provide individualized education and applied behavior analytic (ABA) services for students with profound disabilities. Melmark offers clinically sophisticated programs with a 1:2 teacher-to-student ratio, individualized educational programs (IEPs), and both pre-vocational and vocational training.
