: Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry System Maintenance and Service Agreement Renewal

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking to renew a maintenance and service agreement for a Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (HPLC-MS) system. The system is used by the Natural Products Chemistry Section of the Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry (LBC) to identify, characterize, and confirm the structures of synthetic and natural compounds. The agreement will be awarded to Agilent Technologies Inc without full and open competition. • The HPLC-MS system provides critical data for structural elucidation, molecular composition determination, rapid identification of known compounds, and compound characterization. • The laboratory relies on the HPLC-MS system to support ongoing research activities and the generation of data required for publication in peer-reviewed chemistry journals. • The agreement is expected to be awarded under the simplified acquisition procedures at an amount not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold ($250,000).
