DUI Program Services

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking qualified providers to offer Driving Under the Influence (DUI) programs to first and multiple offenders within the county. The objectives of the DUI program are to reduce repeat DUI offenses and provide participants the opportunity to address challenges related to alcohol and substance use. The selected vendors will operate programs for identified alcohol and drug impaired drivers, in compliance with California laws and regulations. Services will include first offender programs, multiple offender programs, and must meet specific requirements outlined in the RFQ. Key considerations for vendors include having at least two years of experience providing substance use treatment or DUI program services, being legally entitled to provide services in California, and ensuring staff have appropriate licensure and certification. • The RFQ evaluation criteria include experience, qualifications, compliance with administrative requirements, and general experience and references. • Vendors must submit their qualifications, including a cover letter, resumes of project team members, and documentation of experience. • The county reserves the right to rank and select multiple vendors based on final determination of qualifications. • Services must be provided in-person at an accessible location in Santa Cruz County, with the capacity to accommodate up to 35 individuals for education sessions and up to 15 individuals for group counseling sessions. • Virtual services are also allowable, as outlined in DHCS Behavioral Health Information Notice 24-012.
