Description
The City of Austin is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive automatic‑door services for all city departments. The scope includes routine preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, emergency response, parts replacement, and full system modernization for sliding and swinging motorized doors. Contractors must maintain an inventory of parts, respond to emergency calls 24/7, provide detailed quotes, and submit itemized invoices. The contract is indefinite in quantity and will be exercised through individual work orders as needs arise.
• Preventive maintenance on all city automatic doors (routine inspections, lubrication, safety checks)
• Non‑emergency repairs with a two‑day turnaround, detailed quoting, and documentation
• 24/7 emergency repair response (acknowledge within 1 hr, on‑site within 3 hrs)
• Supply and install replacement parts, including OEM or approved equivalents, maintaining a four‑week inventory
• Optional rental of specialized equipment with prior approval (markup ≤ 25 %)
• Requirement for qualified technicians (≥ 2 years experience) and proof of training/experience on request
• Invoicing per city guidelines, separate line items for labor, parts, and rentals
• Contract term is open‑ended; extensions possible at city’s discretion.
