Fire Station 2 Rooftop Solar and Battery Project

The Town of Davidson is seeking a design-build team to install rooftop solar and battery storage at Fire Station 2. The project includes the design, installation, and commissioning of a solar PV system and battery storage system. The selected team will be required to obtain a performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The project budget is $144,142, and the team must comply with the terms and conditions of the subgrant documentation, including the Davis Bacon Requirement, Buy American Requirement, and 2 CFR 200.323 Procurement of recovered materials. • The project requires a rooftop solar system with a size less than 60 kW and a battery storage system sized less than 1,000 kWh. • The team must have experience in installing rooftop solar plus battery storage and municipal building solar projects. • The proposal should include a team profile, information about the project team and consultants, experience with similar projects, proposed design and installation approach, and a detailed cost breakdown. • The town will evaluate proposals based on the experience of the project team and consultants, experience in rooftop solar projects and municipal building solar projects, proposed approach and timeline, design cost, and MWSBE participation.
