Internet and WAN Service

The Decatur County School System is seeking proposals for a district-wide Internet and WAN service. The selected vendor will provide a high-speed Wide Area Network (WAN) solution and Internet access for all school locations. The service must include fiber optic cables, switched layer 2 Ethernet service, and centralized layer 3 routing. The vendor must also provide the necessary equipment for network integration and support. The contract will be for a term of 3 years with two 1-year options. Key requirements include: • Providing fiber WAN connectivity at all locations • Delivering Internet connectivity with a minimum of 5 Gbps transfer speed • Providing a /26 IPv4 subnet range with 61 publicly accessible IP addresses • Installing and configuring necessary equipment for network integration • Maintaining the WAN and providing onsite installation and test to ensure functionality • Verifying WAN connectivity and Internet access can transmit data at the stated speeds • Documenting all part numbers, quantities, and serial numbers of network electronics being installed • Maintaining the WAN and providing repairs within 2 hours of a service outage
