Description
The State of North Dakota’s Office of Management and Budget is soliciting bids to provide comprehensive janitorial services for the new North Dakota State Laboratory, a 88,194‑square‑foot research facility in Bismarck. The contractor must supply labor, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and required supplies, and must meet strict safety, background‑check, and insurance requirements. Work includes daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, common areas, and lab spaces, as well as specialized monthly cleaning of BSL‑3 laboratories and the provision of PFOS‑free cleaning agents for chemistry labs. The contract runs for a base term of 13 months with possible extensions and renewals.
• Daily tasks: waste removal, surface cleaning, restroom replenishment, floor sweeping/mopping, spot‑cleaning, glass cleaning, and vacuuming of carpeted areas.
• Weekly/bi‑weekly/monthly tasks: elevator door cleaning, interior glass cleaning, deeper floor scrubbing, BSL‑3 lab decontamination, shower and countertop sanitizing.
• Contractor must provide all cleaning equipment, maintain inventory of consumables (paper towels, soap, etc.), conduct ND criminal‑history checks for all personnel, and carry specified insurance (CGL $2 M, auto $500 k/$2 M, workers’ comp, employer’s liability).
• Contract period: June 1 2026 – June 30 2027, with up‑to‑12‑month extension and four optional 12‑month renewals.
