Evaporative Cooler Replacement

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking a contractor to replace an evaporative cooler at the Aurora Emissions Technical Center. The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing air handler unit, preparing a concrete pad for the new evaporative cooling unit, and installing the new unit. The project aims to maintain indoor atmospheric conditions for laboratory equipment and staff. The key responsibilities of the contractor include: • Removing the existing air handler unit and its support frame • Preparing a concrete pad for the new evaporative cooling unit • Installing the new evaporative cooling unit and adapting it to existing ductwork • Connecting electrical wiring, water supply, and controls • Testing the system and providing end-user training on operation and maintenance The contractor must comply with local building codes, including permitting and inspections, and work shall be performed during AETC business hours.
