RFP #260011709 - Inmate Medical Services for Richmond City Justice Center

The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office is seeking a vendor to deliver comprehensive, all‑inclusive medical services at the Richmond City Justice Center (RCJC) and to coordinate and schedule both emergency and non‑emergency medical and healthcare services for inmates outside the RCJC. This contract will replace multiple existing vendor agreements with a single, unified provider responsible for all aspects of inmate health care, including routine care, urgent care, and referrals to external providers. The scope includes staffing, medical supplies, equipment, record‑keeping, and compliance with state and federal correctional health standards. • Provide full‑time medical personnel (physicians, nurses, EMTs) on‑site at RCJC. • Manage and schedule all emergency and non‑emergency inmate medical transports and outside‑facility care. • Supply all necessary medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and maintain health records in accordance with correctional regulations. • Coordinate with existing vendor contracts to ensure seamless transition and continuity of care. • Deliver reporting and performance metrics to the Sheriff's Office.
