CCRFP FOR DEPUTY FUND ATTORNEY

The New Jersey Municipal Excess Liability Joint Insurance Fund (NJMEL) is soliciting proposals from qualified attorneys or law firms to serve as Deputy Fund Attorney under a Competitive Contracting Request for Proposals (CCRFP). The selected professional will assist the Fund Attorney in providing legal counsel to the NJMEL, including support with governance matters, litigation oversight, contract and policy review, statutory compliance, and other legal functions necessary for the Fund’s operations. The engagement seeks a firm or attorney with demonstrated expertise in public sector law, insurance regulation, and joint insurance fund governance. Key responsibilities include: • Providing legal counsel to the NJMEL • Assisting with governance matters • Overseeing litigation • Reviewing contracts and policies • Ensuring statutory compliance • Performing other legal functions as necessary The contract will be for a duration of 3 years, and the successful proposer will be required to provide proof of insurance and comply with various regulations, including affirmative action and cybersecurity standards.
