Description
The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools is seeking a qualified general contractor to construct the new Hillwood Early Learning Center, a full‑scale school facility renovation and addition. The scope includes demolition of interior finishes, construction of new classroom, administrative, kitchen, IT, indoor/outdoor play spaces, partial roof replacement, window installations, hallway upgrades, and associated MEP work (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) while integrating MNPS‑procured HVAC equipment. The contractor must manage all permits, bonding, insurance, safety, and compliance requirements, and deliver the project in accordance with the detailed specifications and schedule outlined in the RFQ and addenda.
• Full construction of new pre‑K classrooms, admin suite, warming kitchen, IT space, and play areas (both indoor and outdoor).
• Structural work, partial roof replacement, new windows, and hallway ingress/egress upgrades.
• Demolition, site remediation, slab remediation allowance, and coordination of MNPS‑supplied HVAC equipment.
• Comprehensive project management: submittals, RFIs, schedules, daily reports, progress meetings, and close‑out documentation.
• Compliance with fire‑alarm integration, non‑sprinklered building requirements, ADA, and all local/state regulatory reviews.
