Request for Qualifications: On-Call Consultant for Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA)

The City of Gastonia, North Carolina, is seeking a qualified consultant to provide on-call professional services for Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) for a period of two years. The selected consultant will prepare TIAs and technical memorandums in accordance with the City's Unified Development Ordinance. The scope of services includes: * Preparing Traffic Impact Analyses (TIA) and technical memorandums * Coordinating with applicants, City staff, and NCDOT as needed * Performing traffic engineering services as needed The City invites qualified firms to submit qualifications statements, which should include: * Introductory letter with firm information and contact details * Project team information, including organization chart and key personnel * Qualifications and experience, including at least five similar projects within the last five years * Understanding of the scope of work and methodologies * Project schedule and quality assurance approaches * Identification of any lawsuits or administrative claims The submission deadline is July 24, 2026, and the City will evaluate proposals based on the firm's overall ability to meet the requirements, with relevant background and experience with the City being a major factor. The anticipated selection date is August 14, 2026.
