Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of providing CLC Kitchen hood installation and fire suppression system upgrade. The work consists of furnishing all labor, personnel, supplies, travel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and related items necessary to upgrade the CLC Kitchen fire suppression systems meeting National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 96. The contractor shall perform to the standards in the contract as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.
• The contractor will remove the existing Ameres system and install an ANSUL system in the CLC kitchen hood.
• The duct and plenum need to be properly covered with nozzles and detection.
• All electrical work will be the responsibility of the contractor.
• All hood penetrations need to have a liquid tight weld or grease tight seal.
• All work will be performed after hours or on weekends.
