The State of Iowa is seeking qualified contractors to provide statewide electrician services for all state‑owned and leased facilities. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) arrangement, with separate task orders defining specific work locations, schedules, and deliverables. Awards will be made to up to three lowest‑priced bidders in Zones 1‑4 and up to three lowest‑priced bidders in Zone 5, with a base contract period of one year (July 1 2026 – June 30 2027) and the option for up to five one‑year renewals. Contractors must supply labor (journeyman and apprentice electricians, regular and overtime rates), materials, equipment, supervision, testing, and incidentals, and must meet Iowa licensing, safety, and background‑check requirements.
• Provide labor (journeyman/apprentice) for regular, overtime, and double‑overtime hours, plus trip charges and material mark‑ups.
• Perform electrical work on a 24×7 basis, including emergency response (1‑hour acknowledgement, technician on‑site within 4 hours).
• Comply with Iowa Code §§ 26.2, 314.1B, 26, 573; design‑build is not accepted; all design work is provided by the State or third‑party designers.
• Submit bids via IMPACS, include required certifications, insurance, and a 1 % administrative fee on all sales.
• Awards based on lowest responsive and responsible price; historical spend suggests the contract could exceed $1 million annually.
