Description
Hays County is seeking a Commissioning Agent to provide comprehensive commissioning services for the new Eastside Campus Building. The scope of work includes commissioning of mechanical systems, service water heating systems, lighting controls, and air barrier testing. The Commissioning Agent will be responsible for verifying that the building systems are designed, installed, and operating in accordance with the requirements of the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) Section C408. The ideal candidate will have experience in commissioning services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the project team. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing support to the Owner and Owner's Representative in responding to questions and requests for clarification
• Developing measurable performance criteria for the acceptance phase
• Developing training requirements and construction close-out deliverables
• Providing technical evaluation of recommended design modifications and budget impacts
• Coordinating and overseeing the commissioning process
• Verifying that building systems are designed, installed, and operated according to the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR) and applicable codes
The project is expected to start in May 2026 and last for approximately 24 months.
