Crisis Intervention Team Training Provider

The State of Connecticut, represented by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is soliciting proposals from qualified independent organizations to provide Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training. The training program aims to educate law enforcement, first responders, and behavioral health clinicians on how to interact with individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The scope of work includes providing a comprehensive training program with education, tools, and resources. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing CIT Training to law enforcement, first responders, and behavioral health clinicians • Educating participants on how to interact with individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis • Providing tools and resources for participants to effectively respond to crisis situations • Improving the way law enforcement responds to individuals experiencing mental health and/or addiction crisis The ideal applicant will have experience in providing similar training programs and a strong understanding of behavioral health crisis intervention.
