DARPA-SN-26-52: RFI - Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) Satellite Power Capability

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is requesting information related to space companies’ ability to produce satellites for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) which can provide medium to high levels of Orbital Average Power (OAP) to the payload. The RFI seeks responses to questions about the production rate, Technology Readiness Level (TRL), and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) of satellite buses, as well as the expected cost, technical, and schedule risks associated with the planned production. • The RFI is open to all capable and qualified sources, including universities, private or public companies, and Government research laboratories. • Respondents are encouraged to provide non-proprietary information, and responses containing proprietary information must be clearly marked as such. • The submission format includes a cover sheet, a technical description, and any additional information that respondents deem relevant. • The RFI is issued solely for information and new program planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals.
