2026-040 REBID DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF 13TH STREET RETAINING WALL

The City of Lynchburg is requesting bids for the demolition and construction of the 13th Street retaining wall. The project involves demolishing the existing dry stacked stone retaining wall and rebuilding it according to the project drawings and City of Lynchburg Manual of Specifications. The wall is approximately 300 square feet and has a maximum height of five feet. • The project requires the contractor to rebuild the wall in accordance with the project drawings and City of Lynchburg Manual of Specifications. • The wall varies in height with a maximum height of approximately five feet from finished grade on the exposed side of the wall. • There are no known utility lines located behind the retaining wall. • The contractor must refer to general note 27 on drawing T-1 for any questions regarding the closing of 13th Street during construction for parking and equipment staging.
