IFB 160448 ERMT SCADA System

The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking sealed bids for the design, installation, and upgrade of the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system at the East River Mountain Tunnel on I‑77 in Bland County. The scope includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural modifications to the tunnel’s control rooms, as well as integration of new monitoring and control equipment per the contract documents and specifications. This contract is open to qualified firms with experience in complex tunnel or highway SCADA projects, capable of delivering both design and construction services. • Design and engineering of SCADA hardware and software upgrades. • Installation of new electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural components in the tunnel control rooms. • Integration with existing tunnel systems, testing, commissioning, and training of DOT staff. • Compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
