Notice of Intent to negotiate sole source contract to Grey Ghost Fishing Inc.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Grey Ghost Fishing Inc. for the SEFSC Shark Fishing Survey. The contractor will conduct fishing surveys using longline gear to capture, harvest, and tag sharks off the Florida Keys in the Gulf of America. The work includes 24 days at sea between September 30, 2026, and September 29, 2028. * The contractor must provide a USCG-compliant vessel with specific equipment and safety features. * The contractor will conduct fishing surveys using longline gear to capture, harvest, and tag sharks. * The US Government will provide materials for tagging and sampling sharks. * The contractor must have experience in capturing, boarding, and assisting NOAA scientists in tagging coastal sharks.
