Emergency Standby Contract for Water

The City of Richmond is seeking bids to establish a term contract for the provision and timely delivery of potable water to designated locations throughout the City during emergencies affecting the City water supply. The contractor must be available 24/7 to respond to emergency water supply requests and have a dedicated emergency contact number and email address for the City of Richmond. The contractor must also be able to deliver at least one 16-ft box truck of palletized water or an equivalent volume at any time. • The water should be packaged in bottles, jugs, or emergency bags/cartons suitable for distribution to individuals. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards, including EPA standards for drinking water quality. • The contractor must provide a delivery receipt for each shipment, including the quantity of water delivered, date and time of delivery, and the name of the receiving party. • The contractor must maintain records of all deliveries and make them available to the City of Richmond upon request. • The City reserves the right to cancel this solicitation or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part.
