Refurbishing of Trash and Recycling Receptacles

The City of Austin is seeking a qualified contractor to provide services to refurbish public receptacles used for trash and recycling collection. The contract will be for an initial term of three years, with the option to extend for up to two additional 12-month periods. The contractor will be responsible for refurbishing and repairing the receptacles, including stripping and removing the cured powder coat, sandblasting, and applying a new powder coat finish. The contractor must also ensure that the refurbished receptacles maintain their original dimensions and structural integrity, and are fully functional, structurally sound, and safe for public use. • The contractor must have experience providing similar services for at least three consecutive years. • The contractor must have a facility within the Austin-Round Rock, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area. • The contractor must adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations. • The contractor must provide all materials, equipment, supplies, labor, and other services necessary to fulfill the contract requirements. • The contractor must maintain high-quality workmanship and ensure that all materials, products, and services comply with industry standards or higher.
