Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide software programming, integration, and installation of the ACRE Security System at the Northampton VA Medical Center. The project involves upgrading the Physical Access Control (PAC) system in Building 1, which is currently outdated and not compatible with Electronic Health Record System (EHRM) requirements. The contractor will be required to install a new PAC system, program all equipment, and relocate the Intrusion Detection System. The performance period for this work is 40 days from the time of award.
Some key aspects of the project include:
• Installing a PAC system capable of sustaining 28 card readers, 2 intrusion systems, and 1 scrambler
• Programming all equipment into the updated PAC system
• Relocating the Intrusion Detection System from room 1203 to the TR room
• Installing 10 single door electronic locks
• Complying with VHA Supplemental Contract Requirements for combating COVID-19
