Backflow Testing and Repair Services

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking quotes for the testing, repair, and installation of backflow prevention devices located throughout the City. The City currently owns 434 devices, which must be tested annually by a certified tester in accordance with the State Water Resources Control Board’s Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook. The selected Service Provider will be responsible for performing required annual tests, ensuring all personnel performing testing hold current backflow tester certifications, and complying with all applicable traffic control and safety regulations. The Service Provider will also be required to utilize the City's Municipal Asset Tracking Information System (MANTIS) to document all backflow work as it is performed. • The Service Provider must be an Authorized Distributor for the product offered or submit documentation from an authorized distributor. • The Service Provider must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The Service Provider must provide proof of qualifications and experience related to the area of proposed services. • The Service Provider must submit a proposal that includes a detailed description of the work to be performed, a timeline, and a fee proposal. • The Service Provider must provide a company invoice/quote to upload all information required for the scenarios listed in the RFP/Q.
