Hauling of Voting Machines for Tangipahoa Parish

The Secretary of State's office is seeking bids for a drayage contract to haul voting machines and related election materials in Tangipahoa Parish. The contract will be for a primary term of approximately 12 months, with an option to renew for two additional 12-month periods. The successful bidder will be required to provide all necessary services, including hauling, delivering, and setting up voting machines, as well as returning them to the warehouse after elections. The contractor must have sufficient equipment and personnel to timely and properly cover, haul, and return all voting machines. Some key responsibilities include: • Obtaining precinct registers from the Parish Registrar of Voters and delivering them to the designated voting machine warehouse • Delivering "Vote Here" signs to polling precincts • Covering and loading voting machines onto trucks • Hauling, delivering, and setting up voting machines at polling precincts • Returning voting machines to the warehouse after elections • Providing election day services, including delivering additional voting machines to precincts as needed
